The Meadows Ridge is a coeducational private boarding school for secondary education, located in the heart of Somerset, South West England. Established since the 1959, we have since accepted and nurtured pupils aged 14-18. It was here at the Academy that we shape youth excellence and help them grow into fine men and women fit for society.

Meadows Ridge Theatre Club

The Meadows Theatre was as old as the academy when it was successful in holding regular plays, attracting many people from both inside and outside the school. Despite being the academy’s pride and popular celebrity, with their names filling trophies and newsletters for years, it was told to close after an incident between a student and a teacher in 1989. Whether the club will ever return after its curtain fell early or remain only a memory depends on those who dare to step onto the stage once more. To be or not to be, that is the question..

MEADOWS RIDGE ACADEMY CODE OF CONDUCT

  1. One student can only audition once! (One account per head.)

  2. Must be a registered student of Meadows Ridge. We'll check your student ID! (We accept characters from anime, manga, and game, as long as they are 14-19 years old, appears fully human, and is a student in canon. We advise against using characters whose age OR age range is unknown.)

  3. Should any questions arise about your character of choice, please feel free to ask us.

  4. As we are hastening our way to show day, please do not sneak out of school grounds during practice without any prior notice. (The agency will be running for 7 days and no interaction with outsiders is allowed.)

  5. Every member of the Theatre Club must be present during practice. (Members have to be active, with minimum 50 tweets during the first day, and 35 tweets for the rest of the run time. Please try to participate actively!)

  6. Anyone who missed a day of practice will receive a penalty. (If you are inactive for 24 hours without prior notice, we will kick you out.)

  7. Refrain yourself from doing anything explicit or not safe for work in school. Let's respect each other! (No NSFW themes allowed.)

  8. We encourage members to be conscious of fanart use. No posting or re-posting fanart on the timeline (such as for showing matching profiles), on the exception that the fanart is yours.

  9. We encourage the members to support each other during the practice, regardless of anything. (Refrain from making a CIC as we all, as students of Meadows Ridge, already know each other.)

  10. Please refer to frequently asked questions before asking any further. We will not provide an anonymous question-and-answer forum.

UNIFORM REGULATION

  1. Our faceclaim rules are fairly simple. Since Meadows Ridge is a private academy, its student body have to follow the uniform regulations. Your character must be a student who fits the appropriate age range: it means in canon, they will have to wear a school uniform at some point during the original timeline (not in an AU and/or fan art)!

  2. Characters who were students in the past (such as Shoko Ieiri) are allowed to use~ but we'd prefer it if you use someone with more available pictures! They're not forbidden by any means, though!

  3. Throughout the agency's run, you will have to use a profile picture where your character wears their uniform. The use of fanart are okay only if the artist consent to it. We do not tolerate the use of AI-generated art in any form.
    Here is a compiled list of permission templates that you can access for help.

  4. The school in question can be anything that resembles an educational institution. (Magic and/or Idol schools, for example, are allowed!)

  5. We accept uniforms of any shape (including sports jersey), as long as it is worn in a school setting. I.e., it doesn’t have to follow a traditional uniform standard (a shirt, tie, vest, blazers, and skirt/trousers).
    *For the caretakers and the members convenience alike, please use a character who is actually a student! We thank you for your understanding.

EXAMPLES

These are allowed for use. The characters fit the age range, and they wear a school uniform.

These characters do wear a school uniform, but not all of them fit the appropriate age range. Please be mindful before choosing!

These characters are allowed for use. In the case of Sailor Moon, although their Sailor Senshi's gear looks like a school uniform, please do use their actual daily uniform since they are school girls!

These characters are not allowed for use. They either do not fit the age range, or are not a school student in canon by any means.

HOW TO JOIN

  1. There are three ways to join: Early admission a.k.a. Mr. Maurice's Challenge (1 person), Giveaway (1 person), and Formal audition (28 people).

  2. Your character will have to choose between applying in the Art, Logistics, or Acting division. The form's question will differ, but you will have an option to select your alternative choice of division.

  3. Once the admission form is dropped, you may fill in the form within the designated period of time.

  4. The account you use to apply may only follow our base account, and a couple of blue/yellow-check accounts to avoid spam detection.

  5. Once you've filled the form, do not forget to retweet the admission Tweet to finalize your application.

  6. Please fill in the form with either an empty or recycled account. You may not follow any accounts other than @MeadowsRidge.

OC REGULATIONS

  1. Your character must be a citizen of the UK but can be of any social background.

  2. For admission transparency, we value well-thought character names that are not a joke or parody in any way.

  3. @MeadowsRidge is a labor of love. We would appreciate any human-written submission. As such, we hope that our members hold pride in their own work by not using AI-generated writings.

  4. We encourage members to behave appropriately in regards of the agency's setting and boundaries. The Meadows Ridge is set on 1999 Somerset, England. This means there should be no posts of fake messages and social media screenshots alike.

  5. As the Meadows Ridge is a private academy, our characters will technically have already known each other in some way. Please don't be a stranger!

Q: How many members will you accept?

A: We intend to accept no more than 30 members. To ensure the agency’s smooth run, it is not likely that the numbers will increase. Please use your slot wisely! And we will really apprecaiate it if you refrain from transferring your slot (opslot) to other people!

Q: Will the agency be plot-heavy? What are daily activities like? Do I need to watch and/or like Dead Poets Society?

ADMIN answered.

A: We plan to have multiple activities during the day! Since we're loosely-based on Dead Poets Society, the events of the film will only be mentioned briefly. The in-agency activities will focus on the training & preparation stages of a school play, which will be explained thoroughly once the agency runs. Spoilers, it will roughly be like completing mini-quests throughout the week. Not all of them will involve writing, so rest assured! You can pick what you want to do!

Q: Will there be a gender ratio?

LIZZY answered.

A: No, but we still hope for a balanced gender ratio! I want more girls to apply, please~! I'm tired of seeing Jude and Wren all the time!

A: Oh, and we'll have a franchise limit of 5 people. I-sorry, we-get bored easily.

Q: Can we switch genders in the alternate faceclaim?

JUDE answered.

A: Yes. You may change your name before claiming your slot, if you get accepted with your alternate choice. Changing your division is only possible if the situation allows it (someone wants to switch, didn't claim their slot, etc.)

Q: Will the agency run in full English? Can I use bahasa Indonesia on my form or during the agency's run?

WREN answered.

A: Wording-wise, the agency will be in full English. However, members and caretakers alike are allowed to interact and write in bahasa Indonesia. We'll try to be as accommodating with the wording as possible. If you need help understanding or translating, feel free to approach any of us.

Q: Will you guys provide a space to search for writing partners?

ADMIN answered.

A: We will, but we ourselves will not be the one posting your searches. You can search for a partner by replying to our head thread, with any accounts you want (you're still allowed to be anonymous).

Q: Can my OC have a relationship with the caretakers?

LIZZY answered.

A: To avoid giving false hopes, any official character relation details with the caretakers can be discussed after you are verified as a student~ But since we are set on a private academy, it is fine to have our characters know each other as friends! Oh, and small god-modding (like being seatmates) is allowed. ♪
